  • Straight relay

    Your request goes to the model you named. Nothing is swapped or downgraded.

  • Provider’s own answer

    Responses carry the provider’s model name and id, so you can check.

  • Prompts never stored

    Only model, tokens, cost and timing are kept. Never the text. Some requests are served through a seller’s own OpenRouter key.

The whole migration is two lines.

Change the base URL and the key. Model names, streaming, tool calls and vision work exactly as they do today.

OpenAI SDK
import OpenAI from 'openai'
const client = new OpenAI({
apiKey: process.env.ORBIO_API_KEY,

})
const res = await client.chat.completions.create({

Any OpenAI-compatible client. Model ids are OpenRouter’s, e.g. anthropic/claude-fable-5.1.

Questions, briefly.

Where does the discount come from?

From people who earned Orbio credit and use less than they earn. They list it at a price they choose, and you buy it. Orbio adds a 5% platform fee to the discounted seller subtotal. Card processing and any tax are separate and shown before payment.

Am I getting the real model?

Yes. Orbio is a relay: your request goes to the model you named, unchanged, and the response comes back with the provider’s own model name and id on it. Nothing is substituted or downgraded.

Do you store my prompts?

No. The gateway keeps billing metadata only: the model, the token counts, the cost and the timing of each request. Prompts and responses pass through and are not written anywhere.

Whose key serves my requests?

Orbio’s own OpenRouter key, or the key of the seller you bought from. Some sellers list an OpenRouter key with credit on it rather than credit they earned; a request served through one passes through that seller’s OpenRouter account, under whatever logging they have set there. If their key ever refuses, your request goes through Orbio’s key instead and you never see the difference.

What do I change in my code?

The base URL and the key. Model names, streaming, tool calls and vision work as they do today.

Is there a subscription or a minimum?

No. Credit is prepaid, spent per request at the provider’s token price, and yours until it is used. Buy $5 or $5,000.

What does Orbio add to each request?

Under fifty milliseconds: one key lookup before your request leaves, then a straight pass-through. Your account page shows the measured number for your own requests.

Can I get my money back?

Credit is a grant of product access and is not redeemable for cash. If a card payment goes wrong, reply to the receipt and it is refunded through the card processor.

The credit sold here comes from two kinds of seller: people who hold Orbio and use less than they earn, and people with an OpenRouter key they are not using. They set the price. Orders fill from the cheapest listing up. You pay the sellers’ price plus a 5% platform fee, with card processing and any tax separate. Orbio never sells credit of its own. Credit bought from a key is served through that key, so those requests pass through the seller’s OpenRouter account. How selling works.
